On His Way To Gambia

There's something very emotional about this private project.

And while we may not have reacted quickly enough to certain aspects of the symbolism of the construction and the moral burden it represents, we can certainly claim that together with the project owner we have done our utmost to pool our availability and skills.

From small to prototype, from bigger to minimal dimensions, we now have a few projects in our archive, and hope that we'll be able to build several of them in the next few years.

Our client is now traveling to Gambia to confirm the location on the site, discuss with the entrepreneur and initiate the first foundation works of this last projects version.

30,000 cement-free compressed earth bricks have been produced. We now have to work out all the details, and hope that our contractor will be as flexible and imaginative as we have been in rapidly confirming the stability aspects.
