Magritte @ M’hamid

January 2023, Morocco, a last walk through the small streets of M'hamid, a last village before the desert. And suddenly, between ruins and tears, a paradoxical moment surprised me. The light of a small yellow bulb and the fullness of a blue sky. How could one not think of Magritte and this painting entitled "Empire of Light"? A beautiful moment, an incredible solitude in the calm of M'hamid.
